(Lily shows up at Simon's apartment crying) Simon: Lily, are you okay? What's wrong? Lily: A lot of things. I didn't go shopping with my sister to help her buy a dress for homecoming. I haven't had an active ID for five months because I'd have to get in a car to get to the MVC to renew my license. My last relationship ended because I wouldn't go to his house anymore, or any of the places he wanted to take me. Every area of my life is eroding because getting in a car again seems like the worst thing ever. And I tell myself it's society's fault for making us dependent on these moving death traps that are destroying the planet, because that makes it easier to avoid confronting my own trauma.
