Lily: My doctor referred me to a therapist I can only get to by car. I could ask for a remote session, but I keep thinking, why can't I just get in a stupid car and endure the anxiety if it'll make things better? But then I don't do it.
Simon: Because it's a hard thing to do. Don't pretend it should be easy.
Lily: Yeah. I'm not doing a good job of admitting that. I think of myself as a strong and capable person.
Simon: You ARE, Lily. But you're dealing with PTSD too. If one of your friends had a broken leg, would you say "Wow, you can't walk without crutches? Walking is easy. You must not be a strong and capable person."
Lily: I'd say that to Spencer.
