Lily: Do you know about relationship anarchy?
Simon: No, what's that?
Lily: It's when you're ALLOWED to do anything with anyone. You can't have a primary relationship that imposes boundaries on other ones. Each of your relationships is its own autonomous unit.
Simon: That's basically how I operate. What about you?
Lily: I want a monogamous marriage someday. But I like how relationship anarchy forces you to challenge the default assumptions of romance. I'd rather custom-build my relationship than start with all the cultural baggage that comes with monogamy.
