Comment Policy

The purpose of these rules is to keep a general tone of respect towards all people and to facilitate thoughtful discussion. These rules are unusually strict in order to minimize conflict escalation, because the comic touches on some divisive topics.

The rules:

• No bullying, belittling comments, verbal attacks, harassment, slurs, sexually explicit or violent langage.
• No insults or hostile statements directed at real people or groups.
• No statements that deny someone's internal experience or identity.
• Do not claim people have negative motives that they haven't directly expressed.
• Over-generalizations about groups of people will be scrutinized.
• No sarcastic comments with condescending implications.
• If a sarcastic comment is not obvious, it will be moderated according to its literal meaning.
• Do not repeat the same idea in a new comment with no useful elaboration.
• No criticism that is not constructive.
• Keep your comments related to the content of the comic or the flow of the discussion.
• Try to avoid posting several comments in a row.

About posting links:

• You are allowed to reference and link to your own work if it's relevant to the discussion.
• Any link to NSFW content must have a warning.
• Do not link to pornographic photos or videos.
• No spamming.

About comment moderation:

• Keep in mind entire comment threads may be deleted if the first comment breaks rules.
• These rules are sometimes ambiguous, and I will use my judgment when deciding how to moderate comments.
